Storm Watcher

There are some people who are storm watchers and some who run from the storms.  The ones who run from the storms are called Snowbirds; they continually move just prior to the weather changing bad and go where the sun is shining.

The problem is, many Christians are the same way, always trying to escape the storms of life, when in actuality we should be embracing the storms. You see, it is through the storms of life that we grow the strongest. For example, when the storm winds blow, the trees dig in deep to keep from falling over, just as when the storms of life hit us, we dig deep into the Word of God as we gain our strength from God.

My friend, don’t be a snowbird, become a storm watcher and embrace the storms in your life. James 1:2-3 ‘Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.’

Imagine a life that is always sunny – always easy going… It would really make us weak Christians because we would have no need to dig deep.

By digging deep into God’s Word we are given strength through our Lord Jesus Christ.  May you find strength through the trials of life my friend.
